Quotes and Haiku

QUOTES
Love is all or nothing. If your partner isn't giving their all, you should give them nothing in return.
Self~medication before re~racksation is desired and required by me.
My body and soul are here. When my mind comes around, I'll be complete.
My inner child can be such a selfish little bitch sometimes.
My imaginary friend hurt my feelings.
I believe that love is comparable to the sea. Emotions sweeping your soul, similar to high tide overwhelming a lifeboat.
If I were a balloon, I'd float over to you. Bring a smile, and stay for a while. Then one day, I would fly away. Taking with me, your happiness.
Pain and despondency observed in your eyes. Resentment and embarrassment resulting from lies.
Echo a love note...blow kisses in the wind.
The intent not deeper...yet cheaper to send.
Who has time to dine when there are words to be written, canvases to be stained, music to be played, and melodies to be sang?
I aspire to write something intensely profound in my lifetime.
When signing my name on the dotted line, I envision your last name, in place of mine.
My port and starboard brains are in a battle of colossal measure with my epicenter.
One soul disunited, equally in two. One part me, the other part, you.
The heart endures a tiresome number of afflictions in its lifetime.
Follow your heart. It will oversee your destiny.
Fate guides the soul through the path unknown.
Life happens when you least expect it. Love enters while you are not looking.
True love is saying anything, and doing everything to maintain the connection. Honest love is never having to do either.
The instant you hang up the telephone, and your heart yearns to hear that voice again, is the clarifying moment that you realize that you have fallen truly, madly, and deeply for that person.

Star Wars or Star Trek?

I've been wanting to watch something for about a week now. I don't want to watch just one episode either. I want to watch the whole series, AND I don't want to be bothered while I'm doing it. Is it Star Wars or Star Trek?

Comparison of Star Trek and Star Wars:

STAR WARS was inspired by the Flash Gordon adventure serials of the 1940s and presents an elemental struggle between good and evil.

STAR TREK was conceived in the style of the TV western Wagon Train but adopted a more adult tone, providing an idealistic, utopian prospect of future human society.

Richard Ho, writing for The Harvard Crimson, states that the heroes of Star Wars such as Han Solo and Luke Skywalker have a swashbuckling style while the protagonists of Star Trek such as Captain Picard and Mr. Spock resolve their challenges with science and intellect.

The chronology of Star Wars is set in the far past; the franchise deals with fantasy elements more than with science fiction. Star Trek is set in the 22nd century and beyond, in the same galaxy as Earth, whereas Star Wars is set in "a galaxy far, far away" and has no known connection with Earth.

Buffoonery

I use my sword of ink to scribble down any buffoonery that enters my mind. (Like this blog, for example.)

I find the pen mightier than the sword. That is why I choose to use it, instead of an actual sword.

Don't get me wrong...I've contemplated cutting someone's head off, I just don't follow through with the thought. It's felonious, and I don't relish the thought of "doing time".

I've never actually "done time", but if I HAD, it's conceivable that it was due to a beheading.

What? You didn't read the title? Utter BUFFOONERY.

♥Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ♥ Sweet Emancipation ♥Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ♥

Embarking on a fresh beginning.
A beautiful prelude to a new, unrestricted life.

Sweet emancipation.

Unchained to be the person that I have gradually become.
Free to express myself naturally.

A life better suited for who I am now.

Were You Raised By a Pack of Wild Animals?

Allow me to first state the obvious: I am not perfect.
I was born that way. It was a complicated birth, which left me with a dislocated hip, however this blog is not about my birth. It's about RESPECT. Something that has been lost somewhere in time.

As I said, I am not perfect, and have on occasion, behaved as if I were raised by a pack of wild animals. I have learned over the years though, and I'd like to believe that my parents did a commendable job of raising me with positive morals and .

Guys...

When did it become appropriate behavior, for you to treat a lady any less than a lady? The language that you use in a lady's presence, is at times, repulsive. Foul language should be used minimally around women. Now, I'm not talking about the occasional dirty word. I am talking about the sort of stuff that you would say around the chaps at the local Elk's Lodge. If you weren't raised by a pack of wild donkeys, you should know better. If you were, perhaps something that you read in this blog will encourage you to become a better man. A more respectable man...and less of a putz.

Ladies...

When did you decide that it was okay for a man to treat you badly? Demand respect, and give it back. You deserve to be treated like a princess, but in return, don't be a royal pain. Men do not like to be treated badly either. For instance: don't be so clingy. If I wanted something draped on me, I'd buy a damn shawl. That's right, I said shawl...and not a pretty one, either. If he really likes you, he will move Heaven and Earth to see you again.

Mama said there would be days like this...

We were the *lucky* receipients of approximately 5 inches of snow overnight. I don't mind the snow. It's quite beautiful. As a result though, there is NO SCHOOL. I'm not happy, and "10" isn't happy.

Mama said there would be days like this...

I want to write, but "10" isn't being very cooperative. I've asked her nicely to leave me be, but I believe she's doing everything in her power, to annoy me. She was hungry, and wanted money to go to McDonald's for breakfast. There is plenty of food here, but I wanted to be nice...okay, I wanted peace. Nonetheless, I gave her the money. Instead of eating there, per her ususal, she brought her food back here and ate. Now she's bored, and misery LOVES company.

While lying on my bedroom floor complaining, Bo (the puppy), bit "10" in the bungholio and it made her howl. Was it wrong of me to laugh? *shrugs* Thanks, Bo. =)

I feel exhausted, as if I've had no sleep, but I slept all night. "10" slept with me, but for once, didn't "practice karate" on me. That child could kick a ninja's ass in her sleep.

Perhaps it's not my body that's exhausted at all, but my mind, and that's a bit trickier to fix. You can't just stop thoughts from entering your mind. Sometimes I lie in complete darkness and place a pillow over my head, quieting the outside world. Even then...I can hear the silence. Have you ever heard the silence? It can be SO LOUD.
